In early 2007, Blueshift was was developing a partner oriented business model to expand its reach and open up new opportunities. Blueshift quickly realized one of the challenges with working with partners is determining a simple and effective way to integrate telephony. In addition partner telephony integration, Blueshift was looking for a way to reduce initial costs for the telephone system. As Blueshift was moving to a heavily partner-oriented business model they were also looking into available options to reduce costs with partner network integration.
Blueshift chose PBXL’s Cisco Cloud Telephony offering because it was cash flow friendly and included substantial partner integration capabilities.

Purchasing a PBX typically sets companies back millions of yen, not to mention additional support and maintenance costs. In addition to bundled maintenance and support, PBXL will typically absorb the initial costs offering an inexpensive (or even free!) installation. PBXL provided Blueshift a solution with minimal up-front and a transparent, fixed monthly plan with no hidden costs. “There was no need to draw up a separate budget for our phone system. The initial costs were negligible and the running costs were reasonably priced.”
Part of Blueshift’s success comes through developing key partner relationships. With PBXL hosted telephony, Blueshift was able to integrate telephony and distribute calls to partners throughout Asia. With Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), distributing calls (hunt groups) and forwarding numbers is simple. Additionally, as PBXL provides telephony for several of Blueshift’s partners, there is the added benefit of free internal dialing, transferring, forwarding and more!
PBXL’s integrated cloud offering provided Blueshift with the pricing and options that they need. PBXL provides Blueshift with call distribution options to manage support and sales lines for multiple partners in Asia. With one request to PBXL Support Blueshift can seamlessly integrate a new partner into their call distribution network. PBXL was so impressed by Blueshift’s service we actually became a partner ourself!
